Papers of the Christian Fellowship of Healing (Scotland).
Scope and Contents
Minutes, newsletters, writings and publicity material of the Christian Fellowship of Healing (Scotland), 1958-2012.
Founded in 1952 by Alan Murray, the Christian Fellowship of Healing (Scotland) was an ecumenical organisation established with the purpose of promoting the healing ministry within churches and encouraging engagement with the medical profession. To further these aims, a centre was established in Edinburgh where visitors could come for prayer, listening and healing. The centre closed in 2011. The papers offer an insight into the history and management of the organisation, as well as its values and activities through which its aims were realised.
