Account of 1785 tour to Edinburgh and around Glasgow begins at Berwick. The author travels with Mr Heron.

Account of 1786 tour of the English Lakes accompanied by Mr Heron, Mr Ruddock and Mr Wilson, begins at Berwick.

Account of the 1788 tour to the Highlands begins at Alnwick. The author travels to Edinburgh where he meets his friends Mr Heron and Mr Jobling.
