The Reverend Donald Stewart, a native of the Loch Earn district of Perthshire, was a minister of St Mark’s, Demerara, from his arrival 29 April 1831 to his death seven months later. The contents are as follows.(i) Lease of Lednascriden, Balquhidder, 1776 (folio 1);(ii) Letter of Donald Stewart, Georgetown, 30 April 1831, to his father and brother, both John Stewart, Findglen, Loch Earn. The arrangement and description of the papers from the Clan Gregor Centre was undertaken by Sheila McGregor on behalf of the Centre. The described papers represent the activities of a small number of people who collected and compiled them over many years, combining traditional knowledge with research to both preserve and extend information about the clan.
