This manuscript includes letters, 1816-1834, of John Galt, novelist, to John Murray II.Also included are letters, 1853-1905, of Francis Galton to John Murray III and John Murray IV. The letters mostly concern his publication “The art of travel” and his work on the Murray travel handbook for Switzerland.All the letters are arranged alphabetically by correspondent and by date under each name. A further correspondent has been added to the end of this sequence....
