Scope and Contents Minute book, 1839-1849, giving an account of the efforts of the United Presbyterian Church of Selkirk to raise funds in order to sponsor and support George Brodie as a missionary in Trinidad. Brodie expressed his wish to carry out overseas mission work, and the Selkirk presbytery convened a committee to assess the feasibility of raising funds to support his calling.
