Scope and Contents

The notebook contains a copy of the 'Ordres de Marches issued to the British Army in Flanders in 1745’ (folio i). Also copies of two reports written by St Clair: 'Report to His Majesty concerning the Ground for Encamping the Troops between Highgate and Whetstone and a report of the different ways leading to London' (page 95); 'Report to His Majesty in relation to the County of Kent' (page 100). With four plans for encampments pasted in (inverted folios 1-3).
