Their lands were acquired by Lindsay of Balgays.
Resignation by Mr John Wardlaw, son of deceased John Wardlaw, burgess of Edinburgh, to John, Lord Saltoun of Easter Saltoun., 1 June 1610.
The 8th Lord sold many of the estates and borrowed extensively on the security of Saltoun, which was the subject of endless dispute after his death in 1612.
