The production by the TAG Theatre Company opened at the Edinburgh Festival in August 1995, before touring Scotland from September to November 1995, ending at the Citizens Theatre, Glasgow.

Scope and Contents From the Fonds:

This collection dates mainly from after 1988, when John McGrath and Elizabeth MacLennan resigned from the company which they had established, with David MacLennan, in 1973. Following the funding crisis in 2006, the company had to leave its base in the STUC building in Glasgow, and it was at this point that much of the material in this accession was presented to the National Library of Scotland.

Many of these were broadcasts for schools. He also contributed to programmes such as 'Scottish Life and Letters', and wrote for television.

Scope and Contents From the Series:

Most of the typescripts are undated, and relatively few have been published. Some of the one-act plays were written for amateur drama groups competing in Scottish Community Drama festivals. Joe Corrie sometimes wrote more than one play with the same plot, and he would alter an act of a longer play to make it a one-act play in its own right. He also adapted some of his stage plays for broadcasting.
