Scope Note: This document contained the confirmation of the executor of the estate of the deceased when the deceased left a will. It could also contain an inventory of the deceased's movable property and debts, a copy of the will and a bond of caution. If the deceased left no will the document is called a testament dative. Sir Andrew Fletcher of Innerpeffer purchased Saltoun and Glencorse in 1642; Glencorse was sold in 1647. The documents concern both the estate and individual members of the family.
