Biography
Margery Clinton trained as a painter at the Glasgow School of Art. She became interested in ceramics in the 1960s as an extension of her interest in colour. In 1973, she began research into iridescent lustres (a modern development of an Islamic technique) at the Royal College of Art. She later established her own business, Margery Clinton Ceramics, in Haddington, East Lothian. Margery Clinton’s book, Working with lustres, part of the Complete Potter series, was published in 1991.
