Scope and Contents

The photograph depicts Christopher Murray Grieve ('Hugh MacDiarmid'), R. E. Muirhead, and Sorley Maclean on a march with several other unidentified individuals in front of a Lion Rampant flag, one holding a banner with the words 'Free Scotland First', possibly in the West End of Glasgow.

The registration plate of the motorised bicycle in the foreground of the image indicates the photograph was taken in or after 1951.
