Biography
William McGaw, born 1888 Glasgow. Entered entertainment industry in the offices of Moss Empires. Assistant Manager Glasgow Coliseum 1906, appointed manager of Charing Cross Electric, transferred to the '55' Argyle Electric. Moved to Gaumont until serving in the Great War. 1920 appointed manager of the Cinema House Renfield Street, Glasgow. 1929 joined Associated British Cinemas head office in London, resigning as General Manager in 1936.
