(i) Correspondence, 1835, between Robert Pitcairn, Thomas Thomson and David Laing, on the publication by Pitcairn of ‘Memorials of transactions in Scotland’ by Richard Bannatyne. (Folio 1.)

(ii) Manuscript drafts, with minor corrections, of parts of ‘Davidis Buchanani de scriptoribus Scotis’. The manuscript folios 24-38 equal the printed pages 17-28, and folios 40-66 equal pages 31-39. (Folios 24.)

(iii) 'Articles agt. Mr Gregorie, 1690'. A transcript, on paper watermarked 1828, of articles of libel against David Gregory, professor of mathematics at Edinburgh University, with Gregory's answers to the charges, and a biographical sketch of Gregory. Both charges and answers are addressed to the Committee of Visitors appointed after the Revolution to investigate the opinions of college professors. The paper was possibly copied for David Laing, secretary of the club. (Folio 67.)

(iv) Manuscript map, 'Sketch of part of the north of Scotland during the time of the Romans', undated, but on paper watermarked 1830. (Folio 75.)

(v) Sketch of the tombstone of Johanna Bulloc (died 1371), daughter of the Constable of Roxburgh Castle, found in the ruins of St James's Chapel, Kelso, 1820. (Folio 77.)
