Scope and Contents
Small unbound octavo notebook, 16 leaves. Undated. In the hand of Rev. Donald MacNicol. With a contents list on the first page, and signed on the first page, 'Donald McNicol'.
Two leaves were cut out of the volume after completition, leading to the loss of one song mentioned in the contents list and loss of parts of the songs adjacent.
Includes versions of 'Moch sa mhadainn 's mi làn airtneal' by Lachlann mac Theàrlaich Òig (Mackinnon) and 'A' bhliadhna gus an aimsir seo' by Iain Dubh (MacDonald). The booklet is described in Mackechnie, 'Catalogue of Gaelic Manuscripts', vol. 1, pages 331-332.
