Scope and Contents

The Murrays of Woodend were a cadet branch of the Murrays of Dollery. The last laird, Thomas, in 1691 disponed his lands to his brother-in-law, James Oliphant of Gask, in the event of his death without issue, which occurred in 1693. Much of the estate was sold in 1710 to Alexander Menzies of Garth.
