Deeds relating mostly to Alexander Inglis and his family., 1573-1783.

 Sub-Series
Identifier: Ch.B.2168-2226

Scope and Contents

Alexander Inglis, second son of Patrick Inglis of Byres, was dean of guild and sheriff depute of Perth, and owned the estate of Craigmakerran. He married in 1627 Margaret, daughter of Laurence Oliphant of Gask, and died before 23 October 1652. Some of the deeds may have come into his possession through business: a few are clearly strays from other series.
