The contents are as follows:

Meteorological and thermographical graphs and charts, 1858-1884, and undated (numbers 1-30).

Watercolours of geological features, 1873, and undated (numbers 31-32).

Rubbings, on paper, mainly of Celtic tombstones, 1861, 1871, and undated (numbers 33-45). Some of the rubbings have been enhanced with pen and ink wash.

Watercolour (or possibly ink wash) sketch, probably of part of a tombstone, undated (number 46).

Pencil sketch of Innisphail Cross, overworked in ink, 1871 (number 47).
