Scope and Contents
Letters of William Hooker to John Murray II and John Murray III, with related letters and papers. The letters concern works of Hooker published by Murray, particularly "Botanical miscellany". The letters are written both from Glasgow, where Hooker was professor of Botany, and London, when he became director of Kew Gardens. The letters are arranged chronologically.
