Scope and Contents

The letters appear to be to John Murray IV and to Hallam Murray. They concern Marindin`s work reading, proof-reading and editing various works, particularly those relating to the classics, for John Murray, publishers. Many of the letters relate to Marindin’s 1894 revision of “A classical dictionary of biography, mythology and geography”, by William Smith.

The letters are arranged chronologically.
