These letters concern various works of his published by the Murrays, among these “The life of William Wilberforce”, which he co-wrote with his brother Robert. A further letter of Samuel Wilberforce has been added at the end of this manuscript. Also included are the letters, 1839-1883, of General Sir Richard Wilbraham mostly to John Murray II and John Murray III, concerning his work “Travels in the Trans-Caucasian provinces of Russia”. All the letters are arranged alphabetically by correspondent and by date under each name.
