Scope and Contents
Samuel Taylor Coleridge had some of his poetry published by the house of John Murray, including 'Christabel' and 'Kubla Khan'. The volume of letters of Coleridge to John Murray [III] contain information about his publications; proposals for other projects and translations; business matters; and there are mentions of others within their circle such as Lord Byron, Robert Southey and Charles Lamb. Also included in these letters are two manuscripts of poems by Coleridge. These are 'Glycines Song' and the last verse of the ballad of 'Alice du Clos'.
There are also 20th century typescript transcriptions of some of these letters.
