The papers became separated in the 18th century from the collection of which they originally formed part (see Adv.MSS.35.4.16-35.4.17). Not all have been located to their context, and folios 1-3 are an earlier draft of Adv.MS.35.4.18, folios 19-22; of the remainder, folios 4-7, 8-45, and 46-75 belong in Adv.MS.35.4.16 after page 64, after page 104 and before page 325, and folios 76-79 in Adv.MS.35.4.17, after pages 444 and 458.
