Copies of a letter of Sir Walter Scott to Archibald Constable, presenting him with the manuscripts of the ‘Waverley Novels’, and of Constable's reply (folio 88);
'Memorial & queries of Messrs. Archd. Constable & Company as to encroachments on the works of the Author of ‘Waverley’ by authors of dramas and condensations, 1823, with holograph answers by Francis Jeffrey, 1824 (folio 91);
'Case and queries for the opinion of Counsel' on the claim of the Creditors of Constable and Co. to the works of Sir Walter Scott contracted for by Constable and Co., with holograph opinion of Jeffrey, 1827 (folio 115).
