These writings were intended for the use of Sir Frederick Maurice in his biography of Viscount Haldane, but apparently were not made use of.
The contents are as follows:
(i) Postcard, 1937, to Sir Frederick Maurice formerly placed elsewhere in the collection; a note, 1973, by Elizabeth S Haldane’s nephew, T G N Haldane, and her own note on the papers (folios i-iii).
(ii) Amended manuscript of article on Viscount Haldane for the ‘Dictionary of national biography’ (folio 1);
(iii) Typed copy of the article, with further amendments in the hand of Elizabeth S Haldane (folio 28);
(iv) Leaves from exercise books on which are written brief notes and connected narratives (incomplete) of Viscount Haldane's life (folio 49).
