Transcripts of correspondence of Thomas Carlyle with James Mackenzie, about Joseph Stevenson’s ‘Wallace Papers’, Erskine of Linlathen, the possibility of invasion from France, and ‘A Scotchman Mr. Mackenzie’ whose adventures were connected with Signora Barberini and Frederick the Great, 1852-1853; from originals in the possession of Miss Mackenzie, Moray Place (folios 86-91).
