(i) Copies of correspondence with the Bombay Government concerning the Residency at Bushehr (folio 1); (ii) Letter of Neil Benjamin Edmondstone to Thomas Stamford Raffles, with enclosed copies of dispatches from the Bengal Government to the Secret Committee of the Court of Directors concerning the expeditions to Bourbon and Mauritius and to Java (folio 27); (iii) Correspondence, chiefly copies, concerning shipping for the Java expedition (folio 45); (iv) Letter of N B Edmondstone to Hugh Hope in Java, with an enclosed letter to the 1st Earl of Minto from John Fullarton Elphinstone, President of the Select Committee of Supercargoes, Canton (folio 55); (v) Letter of the Earl of Moira to Francis Warden, Chief Secretary to Government, Bombay (folio 61); (vi) Letter of N B Edmondstone to Thomas Stamford Raffles concerning an action against three French frigates off the coast of Bourbon (folio 63); (vii) Copies of correspondence of the Bengal Government with and concerning Captain Charles Tooke, commander of H.M.S. ‘Piedmontaise’ (folio 68); (viii) Copies of papers concerning Major-General Henry Warde, commander of the troops on Mauritius and Bourbon (folio 74).
