Scope and Contents
The contents are as follows.
(i) Memoranda, notes of conversations, and copies of correspondence relating to General Sir Edward Hutton's relations with the Canadian government, and to his resignation, 1900 (folio 1);
(ii) Memorandum by Sir Charles Tupper on the events leading to Canadian participation in the South African War, circa 1902 (folio 97);
(iii) Letters of the 12th Earl of Dundonald, General Officer Commanding Dominion Militia, to the 4th Earl of Minto, with some of his replies, 1902-1904 (folio 183);
(iv) Memoranda and notes of conversations concerning Dundonald's relations with the Canadian government, and in particular with Sydney Fisher, Minister of Agriculture, and Acting Minister of Militia, over political influence in army appointments, 1904 (folio 252).
