Caroline Eliza Grey was a Woman of the Bedchamber to Queen Victoria, and her husband was private secretary to Prince Albert and to Queen Victoria. Most of the correspondence in this section consists of family material; but there is also some material concerning the Court, British domestic politics, and the Sikh wars in 1844-1846, in which Trevor Graham Farquhar, brother of Caroline Eliza Grey, was killed.
