(i) Summaries of the principal events and measures of the viceroyalty of the 4th Earl of Minto, 1905-March 1909 (folio 1); (ii) Memorandum by St John Brodrick, 1905, on Indian relations with Afghanistan from the Treaty of Gandamak in 1879 until 1905 (folio 32); (iii) Memorandum by Lord Cromer on the situation in Egypt, 1906, chiefly concerning the strength of the Pan-Islamic movement (folio 40); (iv) Reports on affairs in Afghanistan by the British agent in Kabul, 1907 (folio 56); (v) Text of convention with Russia concerning Persia, Afghanistan, and Tibet, 1907, and related papers, 1908 (folio 61); (vi) ‘Gazette’ of India concerning honours in the Foreign Department, 1909, and publishing correspondence with native rulers about sedition, 1910 (see also MS.12631) (folio 84); (vii) Memorandum of chief measures undertaken by the Foreign Department under the 4th Earl, and a memorandum concerning reorganisation of the Department, 1910 (folio 113).
