Manuscript volume entitled "Miscellaneous observations upon the language & antiquities of the Highlands of Scotland with some remarks upon Doctor Johnson's Journey to the Hebrides. By a Hebridean". The work was published in 1779, under MacNicol's name, as 'Remarks on Dr. Samuel Johnson's Journey to the Hebrides; in which are contained, observations on the antiquities, language, genius, and manners of the Highlanders of Scotland'. In MacNicol's hand, and paginated by him [1]-245 (p. 234 repeated in pagination). The last four pages are blank. Formerly Acc.2152/75/
