Scope and Contents
John Cam Hobhouse was the closest friend of Lord Byron. Having met at Cambridge, they remained in close contact until the poet died in 1824. The letters of Byron to Hobhouse provide important insights into their friendship, lives and works, as well as information relating to the wider Byron circle.
