The copies in this folder are mostly of letters between Lord Byron and John Cam Hobhouse, dated between 1808 and 1824. There are some manuscript copies and some typescript. The manuscript copies have been placed before the typescript copies, with additional material at the end of the sequence.

The copies are all undated, so have been arranged chronologically in each section by date of the original letter. The original letters for many of these copies can be located earlier in the series.

The additional material includes one letter and copies of letters between John Cam Hobhouse and various correspondents. The letters all relate to the whereabouts of the letters of Lord Byron.
