When first made available for consultation this folder of letters, before it was foliated, included a note in the hand of Lord Byon entitled ‘Note to the name of Southey’ and a letter from an unidentified correspondent. These letters have now been moved to Ms.43490 and Ms.43523 ff.142-143 respectively.
