Co-ordinated by the British Library, the five year project, 2018-2022, saw audio processing hubs established throughout the United Kingdom, of which the National Library of Scotland was one. Each hub worked with institutions in its catchment area to process at risk analogue audio media. The original media were usually returned to the originating institution. Three copies of the digitised files were made: one for the originating institution; one for the British Library; and one to be retained by the audio processing hub.
