p(er)gam(en)siu(m) minimum completus die xviiio Junii MCCCLXXXXIII. Deo Gr(ati)as Amen … Et b(e)n(e) correctus’; from ‘fr(atr)is’ to ‘civitat(is)’ is written in different ink, possibly by a different hand, over an erasure in which, apart from some isolated letters, can be read only (starting under ‘p(ro)fessoris’) ‘militis d. Balzari de pusterla curie’. On folio 31, at the end of ii.4, is added in the text by the first hand, ‘Iste lib(er) est strenui et spectabilis militis d. balzari d’ pustẽla’. This may refer to Balzarino Pusterla, condottiere of Gian Caleazzo Visconti, Duke of Milan (died 1402) (cf. G B di Crollanza. `Dizionario Storicoblasomico delle famiglie italiane` (Pisa, 1886-90), ii 386).

Headings, underlining of lemmata, ornamentation of capitals, and some corrections are in red. Space is left for initials at the beginning of each section, but they have not been added. The text is written in textualis Gothica, the commentary in bastarda.

Secundo folio: of text ‘de cognitione eius’; of commentary ‘p cedenti in hoc ope’.
