Bibliography

Several of the letters appeared in the Tusitala edition of ‘The Letters of Robert Louis Stevenson’, edited by Sidney Colvin (London, 1924 and 1926) and a list of references to those published is inserted at the beginning of the present volume.
‘Song of the Young Man of Swarthy Exterior’ (folio 241) was published in ‘Underwood’s’ (1887), and the poem addressed to Thomas Gordon Hake (folio 274) in ‘Songs of Travel’ (1896).
