The names are arranged under the presbyteries in each synod. The contents are as follows:

(i) ‘Roll of the names of the Ministers of the kirks of Scotland, who refused to submitt to prelacie, and continued stedfast in owning presbiterian Government after the re-establishment of Episcopacy, An: 1661: 1662`. The presbyteries of Auchterarder and Lerwick are omitted. (Folio 1.)

(ii) `List of Episcopall Ministers in parishes at ye Revolution...` In many cases, the dates of deprivation or death or of some other event are given. The title is in the hand of Robert Wodrow, the historian. (Folio 11.)

(iii) `Ane account of the state of the Church of Scotland this present year 1701 shewing what paroches are planted...` There are a few annotations made after 1708 by Wodrow for the presbytery of Paisley. (Folio 47 verso.)
