The contents are as follows.
(i) Letters to Henry Mackenzie and his family, or concerning them, on literary and other matters, 1771-1839. The writers include a number of contemporary Scottish celebrities. (Folio 1.)
(ii) The Duke of Argyle’s speech on the Bill for taking away the Ports of Edinburgh on account of the Porteous Mob, 1737. (Folio 73.)
(iii) Letters to or regarding John Home, author of ‘Douglas’, 1759-1803, undated, apparently collected by Henry Mackenzie when writing Home’s life. (Folio 74.)
(iv) Two letters to William Craig, afterwards Lord Craig, from Professor John Millar, Glasgow, and another, 1776, 1782. (Folio 92.)
