    The contents are as follows:

    (i) 'Essay on the Antiquity of Irish Literature', followed by an account of the Irish alphabet and contractions, 1814 (folio 1);

    (ii) Transcripts of the five stories in Gaelic MS.XXXVIII in the National Library (‘A descriptive catalogue of Gaelic manuscripts in the Advocates' Library’, page 146): 'Oigheadh Gcoinchuloind', "Ar-amach Mhic Con'an aghaidh Airt mhic-Cuinn, Righ Eirionn", 'Oigheadh ChloinneLir', 'Ar-amach Mhic Colgain an aghaidh Fhinn mhic Cumhaill', 'Oileamhuin Gcoinchuloind' (folio 25).
