Biographical / Historical

Broadway Cinema at 80 Main Street, Prestwick opened in April 1935, designed by Alister G MacDonald for the Prestwick Cinema Company Limited. The cinema showings continued until the 1960s, becoming part-time bingo by March 1964, and completely bingo around 1966. By the late 1990s, the building had been converted into Prestwick Leisure Centre.
