Correspondence and papers of James Avon Clyde, Lord Clyde (1863-1944), Lord Justice General and Lord President of the Court of Session (1920-1935), concerning his work for the National Library of Scotland.
Scope and Contents
The papers relate entirely to Lord Clyde's work for the National Library of Scotland as a member of its Board of Trustees and latterly (1936-1944) Chairman of the Board, and as a trustee on the gift of Sir Alexander Grant for the benefit of the Library's new building (finally completed in 1956).
