Scope and Contents

Robert Crombie Saunders, was the editor of ‘Scottish Arts and Letters' and the 'Scots Independent’. Many of his poems appeared in literary magazines.

The contents are as follows.

(i) Manuscripts and typescript drafts of poems, (circa 1940-1969, undated (folio 1). There are several versions of each poem. (ii) Letters to Saunders from Christopher Murray Grieve, Sydney Goodsir Smith, and others, 1943-1961, undated (folio 70); (iii) Fair copies of poems, 1969, undated (folio 85).
