The materials in this accession previously formed part of the library of the SNP's headquarters at Gordon Lamb House, Edinburgh. This library contained a specialist collection of books and documents relating to the party's history and Scottish political life, and was made accessible to SNP members and researchers by appointment. The collection contains a series of files relating to the history of the SNP grouped together prior to deposit in the National Library.
