Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
The recordings were originally created on 154 compact cassettes and 81 open reels. The digitised files made from these were created in WAV format.

Custodial History
The tapes were temporarily deposited in the National Library of Scotland to enable digitisation under the Unlocking Our Sound Heritage (UOSH) project. After digitisation the original recordings were returned to the OnFife Archives.

Digitised copies of the sound recordings are held by OnFife, the National Library of Scotland, and the British Library.
