The physical tapes described here are held by the Scottish Poetry Library and are not available for consultation in the National Library of Scotland.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
The recordings were captured on 316 compact cassettes and 104 minidiscs. The digitised files made from these were created in WAV format.

Custodial History
The tapes were temporarily deposited in the National Library of Scotland to enable digitisation under the Unlocking Our Sound Heritage (UOSH) project. After digitisation the original recordings were returned to the Scottish Poetry Library.

Digitised copies of the sound recordings are held by the Scottish Poetry Library, the National Library of Scotland, and the British Library.
