Letters of J. Keir Hardie to Christabel Pankhurst.
Scope and Contents
The letters refer to a discussion between Keir Hardie and Christabel Pankhurst on a ballot to be taken during the following week, possibly a vote on the order of preference for Private Members' Bills, which included Sir Charles Dilke's Franchise and Removal of Women's Disabilities Bill. Hardie also warns Pankhurst to prepare for 'another General Election'. One letter has been written in Hardie's absence on House of Commons paper by his secretary, Margaret Travers Symons.
