The papers arrive in no discernible order, and are re-packaged into archival boxes before accessioning, maintaining the original (if indiscernible) order as far as possible.

Appraisal
Studio Alec Finlay select what they wish to constitute their archive and the papers are sent to NLS on a more or less annual basis. To date, there has been no attempt made to appraise, sort or list the papers and we are basically acting as a storage facility.
