Muir (1879-1931), trade unionist and Labour MP for Glasgow Maryhill, and his involvement in the Clyde Workers’ Committee (CWC). Some of the papers also relate to his wife Catherine Fraser and to other prominent members of the CWC.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements

Some items were mouldy and presented signs of damp or deterioration as a result of water and possibly fire. Items are currently in Conservation studio.

Custodial History

The material was found by the donor in a skip during the demolition of a house in the Glasgow area. Some items had been clearaly affected by fire and water.
