The two groups are 1. 'The General Series' mainly correspondence and administrative material, and 2. 'The Lecture Series', comprising lectures read to the Royal Scottish Society of Arts. Further arrangement and content notes can be found under the series heading for each in the catalogue record hierarchy.

Other Finding Aids

A chronologically arranged index, and an author and subject index are available for the Lecture Series. These indexes are appended to the PDF inventory under the 'External documents' heading.
