The volume also contains extracts of two letters, ?circa 1690, concerning the attitude of James VII towards the Church of England (folio 1), and `Some additional Characters of the chief of the last Ministry`, 1715, signed M S (folio 3). The characters, which are apparently copied from another manuscript, are of Bolingbroke, Stafford, the Bishop of London and others.
